What to Expect
We will meet up at the boat ramp or marina and load the boat. I will go over the boater safety rules with you and we will head out to our first spot to begin fishing. I realize that everyone has different needs and expectations when they head out on a guided trip. We will spend our time on the lake together however you feel will be the most productive for you. If you have little or no fishing experience, you may want to spend some time to learn how to use different types rod/reel combos and lures and fish different types of cover and structure. If you are an avid fisherman and want to hit 'em hard and fast, I will do my best to keep you on the fish. Or maybe you are somewhere in the middle. My goal is to give you the best trip possible. I promise that I will do my best to make our time together informative, productive and fun!
What to Bring
If you would like to keep the fish that are caught, you will need to bring a cooler that can be left in your vehicle during the excursion. I will fillet the fish when we return from our trip. You should bring along any food or snacks that you may want for the day. Sunscreen may also be a good idea depending on the time of year. The boat is equipped with a cooler that I will have filled with iced-down bottled water. You can bring along a small cooler for any other beverages that you may want. You are welcome to bring your own fishing gear or any special lures that you may want to try out, keeping in mind that available space on the boat is limited. I will provide everything that you will need to catch fish. We will only be using artificial lures to catch the fish. I have different styles of rod and reel combos (bait casting, spin casting and closed-faced spinning reels). You may want to bring along rain gear just in case as showers can pop up at any time. I will provide life vests which must be worn any time the outboard motor is running.
